Power Platform
The Power Platform is a suite of low-code and no-code tools and services offered as a Software-as-a-Service by Microsoft. Using this platform, Ixead can create custom applications, automate business workflows, analyze data, build virtual agents and publish external-facing websites to achieve your business requirements. The Microsoft Power Platform is designed to solve business problems and improve productivity without the need for extensive coding or development expertise. Built on Dataverse, this platform provides a secure and cloud-based storage which is easy to manage and secure, rich in metadata, ensures data quality through logic and validation and ensures data accessibility through productivity tools like Microsoft Excel.
The Power Platform consists of the following main components:
Power Apps
Power Apps is an application development platform which gives us the ability to build custom applications for web and mobile devices without the need for extensive coding. Apps can connect to various data sources, such as databases, SharePoint, and Microsoft 365, and customize them to meet specific business needs.
Microsoft Dynamics 365 for Sales, Service, Field Service, Customer Insights, and Project Operations are all built natively on this platform.
Power Automate
Power Automate (formerly known as Microsoft Flow) enables us to create automated workflows that connect different services and applications. This tool streamlines business processes by automating repetitive tasks and integrating data and actions across various platforms.
Power BI
Power BI is a powerful business intelligence tool that allows us to create interactive data visualizations and reports. It connects to a wide range of data sources, transforms data, and provides insights to support data-driven decision-making.
Power Pages
Power Pages are used to publish secure and low-code business websites. Public access to Power Pages can be either anonymous, authenticated or both. Using Power Pages your business would be able to collect data directly from your customers, stored immediately in Dataverse which is the same database used by the business application. Power Pages allow you to set role-based permissions to control the use of your business data.
Power Virtual Agents
Power Virtual Agents allows us to build chatbots and virtual agents to interact with customers, employees, or other users. These bots can assist with common questions and tasks, enhancing customer service and support.
The Power Platform is tightly integrated with other Microsoft products, such as Microsoft 365 and Azure, making it a valuable set of tools for organizations that rely on Microsoft technologies.
