Business Applications Consultant

Job Summary

We are seeking a Business Applications Consultant to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing guidance on Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central implementations, upgrades, and customizations. The role requires a good understanding of business processes, exceptional technical skills, and the ability to translate complex requirements into effective solutions.

Required Qualifications:

Consulting and Implementation:

  • Part of a team in end-to-end implementation of Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central projects
  • Conduct business process analysis and design workshops to gather requirements and define business needs.
  • Configure and customize Business Central applications to align with client requirements

Project Management:

  • Manage project timelines, deliverables, and resources to ensure successful project completion
  • Collaborate with project stakeholders to define project scope, objectives, and deliverables

Solution Design and Development:

  • Develop functional specifications and system design documents
  • Work with development teams to design and implement custom extensions and integrations

Training and Support:

  • Provide training to end-users and technical teams on Business Central functionalities and best practices
  • Offer post-implementation support and troubleshooting to ensure client satisfaction

Quality Assurance:

  • Perform system testing and validation to ensure the quality and performance of solutions
  • Develop and execute test plans and scripts

Client Relationship Management:

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients to understand their business needs and objectives
  • Provide strategic advice and recommendations to clients on optimizing their use of Business Central

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field
  • Strong understanding of business processes in areas such as finance, supply chain, manufacturing, and sales
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central or NAV, or Microsoft Dynamics Finance and Operations, or other business application platforms.
  • Experience in industries such as manufacturing, retail, or distribution
  • Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central certification
  • Knowledge of LS Retail would be considered as an asset
